Cascadia Community College is sponsoring an Exporter Forum to address the needs of small and medium-sized businesses with 500 or fewer employees.

The college is partnering with the Export-Import Bank of the United States and Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-1) and Congressman Dave Reichert (WA-8) from the U.S. House of Representatives. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Dec. 9 in the North Creek Event Center, located at 18345 Campus Way, N.E. Bothell.

Forum topics include learning how to increase your company’s international sales, how to protect yourself against the risk of nonpayment, extending credit to your buyers, accessing vital working capitol and finding new markets and customers. At 9:45 a.m. there will be a panel discussion with agency officials on resources businesses can use to grow their exports and a moderator-led discussion with federal and state officials who explain how their products and services can help business owners in expanding their export opportunities.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with federal, state, and local export development officials to ask questions and learn more about how to effectively use government resources.

The event is free, but registration is required to attend.
