Northshore School District is seeking applicants for one opening for a parent/community member on the Curriculum Materials Adoption Committee (CMAC).
This is a voluntary position appointed by the superintendent and lasts for three years. The sixteen-member committee is responsible for ensuring the selection of appropriate instructional materials for Northshore School District students is conducted in a professional manner by a deliberate body of teachers, administrators and parent/community members.
CMAC members must be willing to attend all monthly meetings and prepare for meetings by reading all documents submitted by sponsor groups. The committee will review core and supplementary materials submitted for consideration and make recommendations for approval to the school board.
