In the case against Alan Smith for the 2012 murder of his estranged wife Susann Smith, the defense and prosecution have rested their cases.
At 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, the defense and prosecution will present their closing arguments, with a possibility that the case could be recessed until the verdict by noon that day. The verdict is not expected until next week, at earliest.
As previously reported by the Bothell/Kenmore Reporter, the verdict will not be decided by a jury, but by the cases presiding judge, Judge Krees.
As the story unfolds, the Bothell/Kenmore Reporter will provide updates.
