Bothell residents are invited to share their thoughts and ideas about the new city hall at its next two community workshops: April 27 and May 25. Recently, the city announced that a development team led by Vulcan Real Estate has been selected for its new city center campus, a signature project in Bothell’s ambitious vision for its downtown revitalization.
The city center block (101st Avenue Northeast), which will be anchored by the new city hall, will be designed over the coming months building on several years of public input and planning. With construction possibly starting as early as the end of 2011, it is important for Bothell citizens to participate now in the design process.
The workshops will look at the master plan for the site, as well as art and architecture. They will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. at Bothell Municipal Court, 10116 N.E. 183rd St.
The community workshops are open to all Bothell residents and are family-friendly. Bothell citizens are also welcome to attend and speak at Bothell City Council meetings. The council is scheduled to discuss the city center project at 6 p.m. on May 10, June 14 and at meetings in July.
