Chairs have started popping up along the City of Bothell’s Fourth of July Parade route, reserving spaces for parade-goers.

The custom, which started in January, has been going on for several years as people try and get the best spot earlier and earlier every year. This year, chairs have been spotted only a week from the parade.

The Freedom Festival Parade will start at 11:15 a.m. with the Children’s Parade, while the Grand Parade starts at noon.
