Celebrate Earth Day, Arbor Day and National Parks Week at Kenmore Parks Appreciation Day

The City of Kenmore invites citizens, businesses, neighborhood associations and community service groups to join the city by volunteering or sponsoring events or programs in order to create a more beautiful and livable Kenmore.

Parks Appreciation Day event

Parks Appreciation Day will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to noon and will be focused on restoration and clean up of Log Boom Park, Rhododendron Park and Wallace Swamp Creek Park.

The event will happen rain or shine, dress for the weather. Children, who are accompanied by their parent and interested in helping with this community wide volunteer event are welcome.

The city encourages volunteers to bring gloves and basic gardening tools. Water and light snacks will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to RSVP so city staff can prepare appropriate work plans and determine equipment needs.
