Cash for candy: Local orthodontist has a sweet deal this Halloween

One area orthodontist is redefining the phrase “put your money where your mouth is.” This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Richard Chan Orthodontics in Bothell and receive $1 per pound, up to five pounds. Chan will give away dollars, toothbrushes and more while teaming up with Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization, and will be sending all the collected candy to troops overseas.

Candy will be collected from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 1 at Chan’s office, 18323 98th Ave. N.E. #1, Bothell.
