The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.
In this blotter, there have been 16 counts of driving without proper person or vehicle licensing, nine counts of alcohol-related incidents, eight thefts (not including alcohol thefts) and 5 assaults, among other incidents.
June 1
A vehicle was impounded near the corner of Northeast 182nd Street and 72nd Avenue Northeast for violating parking regulations. The vehicle was a sight and distance hazard.
A male went to his mailbox, located near the 14800 block of 72nd Pl. NE., and noticed that his estranged wife had put in a USPS Change of Address order for all mail at his house. The incident was recorded as on-going harassment.
A person reported the theft of an expensive ring from her father’s house, located in the 16400 block of Inglewood Rd., valued at more than $250.
June 2
An unlocked vehicle, located in the 16000 block of 76 Pl. SE, was entered and items were taken from the vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle, but the victims wife hear the door to the vehicle close at around 3:30 a.m. and did not get up to check it.
June 3
A male reported an assault, committed by his estranged wife, between one and two years prior. The incident was reported near the 14600 block of 68th Ave. NE.
Authorities were traveling westbound on SR 522 in a fully marked car when they witnessed a driver pull out onto the road, striking and knocking over a construction sign in the process, and then did not pull the vehicle over to trade information with the construction group. Upon investigating, the officers found the driver to have criminal misdemeanor warrants.
A person reported an auto break-in near the 88000 block of NE 148th Pl. Unknown tools were used to get inside the vehicle, which was parked in a residential driveway. More than $250 worth of valuables or damage were reported.
A customer of the Safeway along 6580 NE Bothell Way reported vandalism of their car, which was splashed with yogurt, after a parking dispute.
Officers fund property, two bags, at Squires Landing Park while looking for transient camps.
Four subjects were arrested and cited for alcohol on breath (AOB) while in the park. One subject was booked on a misdemeanor warrant out of Bothell.
June 4
While on routine patrol, deputies were dispatched to a physical domestic altercation at the Cedar Lane townhouses along the 6000 block of NE 170th St. Officers were advised that the suspect was leaving the scene in a GMC Yukon, which they saw leaving the area the call came from. Upon contact with the victim, they were notified that the suspect attempted to stop the victim from calling 911 prior to his leaving the scene.
A person admitted to leaving their doors unlocked after an overnight car thief broke in and took items from the car. The vehicle in question was parked in a residential driveway near the 66000 block of NE 202nd St.
A child reported that her father had spanked her with a belt near the 8400 block of NE 169th Pl. CPS has been notified.
A person reported leaving his bike at a bike rack without chaining or locking it to the rack for safety. WHen he returned from inside the Kenmore Library, located at 6531 NE 181st St., the bike had been stolen.
June 5
CPS was referred for help after a child reported that her mother has kicked her out of the house, located along the 7700 block of NE 165th St.
Two unknown suspects walked into the Rite Aid along 68th Avenue Northeast and allegedly stole $1577 in merchandise.
June 6
A suspect was pulled over near the intersection of NE 155th Street and 75th Avenue Northeast after officers found them driving on a Toyota Camry with flat tire. Upon contact, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) and had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.163 and 0.164, respectively.
Authorities were called out to the intersection of Northeast 175th and 61st Avenue Northeast for a domestic violence in the fourth degree after a male suspect pulled a female down to the ground, hit her and pulled her hair. The suspect was booked into South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail.
June 7
A suspect was arrested for assault in the fourth degree for an incident at a private residence near the 5500 block of NE 195th St.
A person reported graffiti to the shipping containers located at Log Boom Park, at 6100 NE 175th St., that are currently being rented by the City of Kenmore.
A Tully’s Coffee employee, for the branch located at 6702 NE Bothell Way, reported a counterfeit $50 had been handed to them by an unknown person.
A person had parked their Toyota Camry on the street, along the 16500 block of Simmonds Road Northeas, when their unoccupied vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run. The SUV that hit the Camry continued along eastbound Simonds Road NE after striking the Toyota.
June 8
A person was arrested near the intersection of Northeast Bothell Way and 80th Avenue Northeast for driving with a suspended license in the third degree.
A natural death was reported near the 5800 block of NE 196th Street.
June 12
A driver’s-side rear door was damaged overnight at The Timbers apartment complex, located at the 8900 block of 68th Ave NE.
June 15
A person was pulled over near the intersection of Northeast 181st Street and 68th Avenue Northeast. It was found the driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license in the third degree and was arrested at the scene. The vehicle was not impounded and there was no booking.
A person reported a civil issue between two residents near the 17600 block of 80th Court Northeast.
