Beginning this week, open trench work on 20th Avenue SE will start north of 220th Street SE. The current work on 20th Avenue SE and 222nd Street SE will continue south of 220th Street SE.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on 20th Avenue SE between 220th Street SE and 214th Street SE, though there will be lane closures, with a portion of 20th Avenue SE reduced to one lane in each direction (see map below and with attached PDF).

Local access to businesses will be maintained.

The current work south of 220th Avenue SE on 20th Avenue SE and 222nd Street SE is expected to be finished in about two weeks.

Drivers may experience delays and may want to consider alternate routes including 220th Street SE, 26th Avenue SE and 29th Drrive SE (from 228th) to enter and exit the Canyon Park Business Center.

County administrators ask residents to follow directions from flaggers and drive carefully.

Watch for Weekend Detour Notice: Sept. 24-25. The intersection of 20th Avenue SE and 220th Street SE will be closed as crews install a news sewer line. A notice with detours will be sent out this week.
