Bruce Elden Olson died Sept. 14 after a nine-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 54.

He was born in Longview and grew up first in the Seattle area and later in Bothell, where he lived for most of his life. He graduated from Bothell High in 1975. He worked professionally as a carpenter and loved to golf.
