Bothell area residents who receive water service from Alderwood Water between 196th Street and 228th Street may have sediment in their water, causing discoloration.
A water main was broken, admin service manager Mike Pivec said, causing sediment in the pipes to work their way into the water supply.
Alderwood Water has received around 80 calls so far from affected customers.
Alderwood Water is advising affected customers to run cold water to help flush out the sediment, and they expect it to be flushed out by 4 p.m. The company’s water quality division is testing the water.
“There’s no significant health concerns, the water is tested as far as its chemical makeup,” Pivec said.
