Bothell Seafood Bar worker, Margaret Deleon, wins the annual Ivar’s Haglund Scholarship.

The $1,500 tuition reimbursement is awarded to one clam-tastic employee every year for educational purposes and this is the second year in a row that it has been won by a crew member at the Bothell location.

Deleon, 18, has proven to be a valuable member of the Ivar’s team during the last 14 months, graduated from Bothell High School and will attend the University of Washington next year to study sustainable engineering. Her ability to balance a challenging curriculum, after-school sports, volunteer opportunities and work at Ivar’s lead to Margaret’s selection as this year’s winner, according to an Ivar’s spokesperson.
