Daniel Mayeda of Bothell was among more than 700 graduates who participated in commencement ceremonies at George Fox University in early May. Mayeda earned a bachelor of arts in cinema and media communication.

The Newberg, Ore., school hosted an undergraduate commencement for 430 graduates on May 2 and hosted separate departmental ceremonies for the 300 graduating from its graduate and seminary programs.

Ken Beebe, an alumnus of the university who has served the past 21 years as executive director of the Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center, addressed undergraduates at their ceremony.
