Bothell citizens are invited to participate in an open house from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Northshore Senior Center (10201 E. Riverside Drive) to view the progress on the Bothell Crossroads SR 522 Realignment and SR 527 Multiway Boulevard projects as the design enters its final phase of development.
Design elements include, but are not limited to:
● Street furnishings such as streetlights, benches and bike racks
● Landscaping features such as trees, plantings and rain gardens
● Design elements such as sidewalks, pervious pavers and roadway
improvements.
Project managers and design-team members will be on hand to present and gather input on the Bothell Crossroads and Multiway Boulevard designs. A community workshop on these projects was held in January to gather input on various design elements.
The Bothell Crossroads project will realign State Route 522 one block to the south, improving traffic congestion, increasing safety and providing more pedestrian connections between downtown and the Park at Bothell Landing. The Multiway Boulevard project will separate pedestrians and parking from through traffic on State Route 527. This tree-lined boulevard will move traffic, bicycles and pedestrians through downtown more efficiently, create ample parking on side access lanes, and it will connect Bothell’s historic Main Street to the redeveloping areas west of SR 527.
