Bothell police officer was injured in a crash on I-405 Wednesday evening while responding to an incident.

Police say the officer was responding to call concerning a disabled car on the southbound offramp to NE 160th when a car then rear-ended the officer.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of back injuries and was released that day. The driver of the other car was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The officer has not yet been identified, but it was reported he has worked for the department for several years. A Bothell police spokesperson said they don’t have any further information since state patrol responded to the incident.
