Bothell police are looking for city truck-theft suspects

Bothell police are on the lookout for two male suspects who stole a Public Works truck last Sunday morning. Police have recovered some items left behind at the scene by the suspects and also obtained video surveillance footage, according to Capt. Denise Langford. These items are being examined by detectives.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., the suspects entered the fenced, parking lot area at the city of Bothell Public Works Operations Center, located at 21239 20th Ave. S.E., in the Snohomish County portion of the city. The suspects attempted to light a Public Works van on fire and stole a Public Works truck.

The stolen truck is a white, 2009 Ford F-350 flatbed utility truck with Washington exempt license plate number 49730D. The truck is equipped with toolboxes, a crane that is bolted and wired to the truck and a dual cone rack on the front. The truck has “City of Bothell” logos on the driver’s and passenger side doors.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for the truck theft. Anyone having information about this incident is asked to contact the Bothell Police Department Tip Line at (425) 487-5551.
