Northshore Junior High ninth grader Noah Payne served as a page in the Washington State Senate in Olympia during the week of Jan. 13.
Payne was sponsored by Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, D-Bothell.
“Noah is a driven young man, who has set an impressive set of goals for a fourteen year old. Noah’s principal described him as dependable, hard-working, and passionate about helping others. I’m so thrilled to have had him helping us out this week here in Olympia,” McAuliffe said.
He first heard of the page program when his older sister did it a few years ago. He decided to follow her footsteps and serve the community.
“Grades just aren’t going to cut it anymore,” Payne says. “I need to go beyond that.”
Payne aspires to go to the University of Washington and study pharmacology.
