Residents interested in serving on the City of Bothell’s new Arts and Festivals Commission should apply by Feb. 17.

All terms begin April 1, and they will be staggered three-year terms. Applications are available online at www.bothellwa.gov on the Boards and Commissions page.

The city formed an ad hoc Arts Committee in 2009 to advise the Bothell City Council on how to spend the one percent for the arts funds for the new Bothell City Hall. Now that the city hall is complete, the committee asked the council to broaden its scope. The council approved the formation of the new Arts and Festivals Commission at its Jan. 10 meeting.
