Several ducklings and their mother are recovering after a close call along State Route 522 in Bothell yesterday.

According to the Bothell Police Blog, a driver saw the mother duck and ducklings walking beneath a vehicle while it was stopped near 101st Avenue Northeast.

The other driver hadn’t seen the ducks and drove away normally and the woman came to the aid of the ducklings and the mother duck who were scattered around the road, placing them in a large bag and taking them to the police station.

The animals were taken to the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine in Bothell where the mother duck was stabilized and transported to PAWS fto recover, the blog said.
