The city of Bothell is developing a long-range vision for Blyth Park (16950 W. Riverside Drive), the city’s oldest park. The first meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E. Riverside Drive, Bothell. A second meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Bothell Municipal Court, 10116 N.E. 183rd St.
Dedicated to the city by the Lions Club in 1959, the park has been a long-time favorite for picnicking, family reunions, day camps and, more recently, disc golf. According to the city, community participation is essential in developing a successful master plan, which will guide future improvements in the park. The city has hired the Berger Partnership, a landscape architectural firm, to assist in the master planning process.
