Body found in Snoqualmie River, may be missing Bothell man

The body of a Bothell man swept away in the Snoqualmie River on Sunday afternoon may have been found today, according to a press release from the King County Sheriff's Department.

The body of a Bothell man swept away in the Snoqualmie River on Sunday afternoon may have been found today, according to a press release from the King County Sheriff’s Department.

According to documents, the man, 29, and his girlfriend tried to save one of their dogs struggling in the current when they lost their footing and got swept away.

The woman was rescued by fire personnel and the dog made it to shore safely, but the man was not found.

After days of search diving by members of the Mercer Island Police Department and patrolling from the Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, a body was found this afternoon in the approximate area where the man was swept downstream.

Sheriff’s divers recovered the body, pending identification, about 50 feet from shore in about four feet of water.
