The Washington State Department of Licensing is reminding boat owners that their annual boating registration deadline of June 30 is fast approaching.

Boaters are required to renew their boat and watercraft registration decals prior to the deadline.

Boats that are not required to register include canoes, kayaks, and vessels not propelled by a motor or sail; are less than 16 feet in length or has a motor that is 10 horse power or less; or if the vessel is properly registered in another state when usage of Washington waters is planned at 60 days or fewer.

All other boaters must get a registration decal prior to June 30.
