The 10th annual Backpacks for Kids campaign continues.

The Northshore School District, the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce and the Northshore Kiwanis are again coordinating a community-wide drive to collect back-to-school supplies and backpacks to meet the need of families who are not able to send their children to school with necessary school supplies.

This year’s campaign runs now through Aug. 10. At the end of this annual campaign, with the help of Northshore School District nurses, organizers hope to distribute more than 700 filled backpacks. Families in need should contact the nurse at any Northshore school.

Monetary donations can be made with a check payable to “Backpacks for Kids” at either the Bothell or Woodinville branch of Banner Bank or to the Northshore School District Administrative Center, 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, WA 98021.
