An Arlington man arrested Wednesday night for investigation of burglary has confessed to committing two recent Bothell restaurant burglaries, according to Bothell Police Department Sgt. Elmer Brown.

At approximately 7 p.m. last night, members with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Pro-act team arrested the 32-year-old man from a Lynnwood motel. He was a suspect in a series of recent commercial burglaries in north King County and Snohomish County.

Bothell detectives questioned the man about his involvement in the two Bothell burglaries, according to Brown. The first burglary occurred on March 23 at a Canyon Park restaurant located in the 22000 block of 17th Avenue Southeast. The second burglary occurred on March 24 at a restaurant located on Main Street in downtown Bothell. In both incidents, the business office safes were attacked and money taken from them.

Bothell detectives are currently completing their investigations and will file their cases with the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the King County Prosecutor’s Office. It is expected that the man will be charged with one count of burglary in the second degree within the respective counties.
