The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.
Between Dec. 20-27, there were two criminal traffic incidents, two warrants served, six thefts, one assault, one robbery and one incident of drunkenness.
Dec. 20
Traffic: 1:35 p.m., NE 170th St. and Juanita Drive; A man was cited and released for driving with a revoked license and no ignition interlock.
Loitering: 3:29 p.m., 8200 block of NE Bothell Way; A caller stated there were two people sleeping in a bus shelter. A deputy responded and located a female sleeping in the shelter. She was moved along without incident.
Warrants: 5:27 p.m., 6900 block of NE Bothell Way; A deputy spotted a warrant suspect on the sidewalk. She was arrested without incident.
Dec. 21
Traffic: 1:19 p.m., 18100 block of 68h Ave. NE; A driver was stopped for a moving violation and arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license and on warrants. The suspect was transported to Kirkland PD for booking.
Larceny: 5:16 p.m., 6700 block of NE 181st St.; A man threw a fit over service and price in the post office and ripped a box. A post office worker said she did not want to press charges if the suspect paid for the box and tape, and offered an apology.
Assault: 7:02 p.m., 18700 block of 60th Ave. NE; A man shoved an Uber driver during a dispute about the driving and his bag. The suspect was arrested and released to his residence.
Dec. 22
Larceny: 9:10 a.m., 7500 block of NE 204th Place; An unknown suspect or suspects stole a Christmas lawn ornament and left an empty box.
Dec. 23
Vandalism: 12:12 p.m., 14700 block of 75th Ave. NE; A mailbox was vandalized, but it’s unknown if any mail was taken. The same mailbox had been vandalized before.
Robbery: 9:31 a.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way; Two suspects, including a 14-year-old boy, robbed the Kenmore Safeway and assaulted the manager. The 14-year-old boy was capture and taken to the King County Juvenile Detention Center, but the second suspect is still outstanding.
Dec. 24
Trespass: 9:31 a.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way; A female stole several food items from the Kenmore Safeway, then left the items within a nearby shop. The items were returned to the store.
Dec. 25
Stolen property: 10:40 a.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way; A man was found to be in possession of stolen credit cards at Best Pet Care in Kenmore.
Larceny: 3:27 p.m., 6800 block of NE 153rd Place; A suspect was interrupted as they attempted to steal a vehicle bumper and mail from Glaspey’s Auto Repair.
Dec. 26
Order violation: 2:04 a.m., 17500 block of 80th Ave. NE; A man was booked into King County Jail after violating a no-contact order, hitting his sister and threatening her with a knife.
