Seasoned leader from BASIS Independent Schools to open new campus

BASIS Independent Schools, the world-acclaimed network of private schools, announced that Mr. Robert Runyon will lead the new Bothell campus slated to open in fall 2025. Mr. Runyon is an experienced school leader within the BASIS Independent Schools network and has shaped the trajectory of both new and established schools since joining the network eight years ago.

Mr. Runyon will be the inaugural Head of School at BASIS Independent Bothel l after serving as the Associate Head of School at BASIS Independent Brooklyn, the top-rated Preschool-Grade 12 private school in New York City. During his tenure as Associate Head of School, the school achieved the distinction of being ranked as the top K-12 private school in Brooklyn in the same year.

Campus details

BASIS Independent Bothell will offer families a 123,000-square-foot campus situated on 6.2 acres of land in Canyon Park. The campus will boast state-of-the-art labs, a full-size gymnasium to host league sports games as well as sizable outdoor space with sports fields, a playground, and outdoor basketball courts. BASIS Independent Bothell will also offer classrooms specially designed for drama, music, visual arts, and engineering instruction.
