KCLS is launching a new adult programming series called A Place at the Table. This series involves addressing food in all of its iterations, including: growing food, cooking, preserving, nutrition and health, food in cinema, food in art, and, of course, food in books/literature.
The King County Library System invites the community to bring donations of nonperishable food to their local library as part of A Place at the Table. KCLS has partnered with Hopelink and with Food Lifeline to distribute the donations to 39 local food banks county wide from March through December 2013. The program begins in March at the Bothell Library with one program at the Kenmore Library.
