Kenmore, Bothell concerts continue

The Kenmore Concert Series is back for its seventh year.

Free shows are offered from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday at St. Edward State Park.

Scheduled dates and performers are as follows:

• July 30, Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys, American roots, rockabilly and western swing.

• Aug. 6, Crooked Still, fermenting folk music.

• Aug. 13, Quetzal, Chicano music.

• Aug. 20, Vagabond Opera Diverse, “zany opera music from the cabaret.”

• The city of Bothell 2009 “Music in the Park” summer concert lineup: Concerts are free and held every Friday evening through Aug. 28. Bands play from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Park at Bothell Landing, 9919 N.E. 180th St. The only exception is the Aug. 28 event at Pop Keeney Field. That last concert of the summer begins at 7 p.m. and ends with a fireworks display to help mark Bothell’s centennial.

The Friday night lineup includes:

• July 31: Shambala, a 3 Dog Night revue

• Aug. 7: That ’80s Show

• Aug. 14: Alex Duncan; reggae, dance hall and soca

• Aug. 21: The Coats, an a-capella performance

• Aug. 28: The Machine, everything from the Beatles to Green Day
