The Emerald Ballet Theatre of Bellevue will present performances of ‘Paquita’ and ‘Peter and the Wolf’ back to back on both June 7 and June 8 at the Northshore Performing Arts Center in Bothell.
‘Peter and the Wolf’ is the classic Russian children’s tale of a boy who escapes the clutches of a hungry beast. The story was originally written as a symphony by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936.
‘Paquita’ is the story of a young gypsy girl in Spain who is unaware she is really a noble who was kidnapped at birth.
Each ballet will represent a single act of the two-act show, to be presented at 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
