Aronoff Festival Concerts at Kenmore’s Bastyr University June 28-29

The Aronoff Festival Concerts will take place at Kenmore's Bastyr University at 7:30 p.m. on June 28-29 and 4 p.m. on June 30.

The Aronoff Festival Concerts will take place at Kenmore’s Bastyr University at 7:30 p.m. on June 28-29 and 4 p.m. on June 30.

The concerts are professional chamber music recitals being performed this at Bastyr chapel, featuring three special guest artists with the regular Aronoff Festival faculty.

Tad Margelli, principal English Horn with Pacific Northwest Ballet, will join violist Thane Lewis and pianist Kevin Aanerud in “Two Rhapsodies” by Charles Loeffler, on June 28. Works by Milhaud, Rebecca Clarke and Khatchaturian round out this unusual and romantic concert.

Denise Dillenbeck, violinist of Kairos Quartet, and Rodger Burnett, principal French Horn with Pacific Northwest Ballet will join Aronoff faculty in Mozart’s Quintet in E-flat, K. 407, on June 29. This work, from the later period of Mozart’s life, features the unusual scoring for one violin, two violas, cello, and solo horn. Also in the program is Mozart’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, featuring renowned northwest pianist Sandra Bleiweiss.

All concerts are open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person.
