I picked up my grandma from an assisted living home on East Riverside Drive Aug. 17 and was appalled by the terribly long wait due to construction on that street. We sat in the line up for 14 minutes before the flagger gave us the OK to proceed. Several folks got fed up, and did a U-turn to go another route, while a couple others got out of their cars to see what the hold up was. I can’t believe they’re doing a project that entails those kind of lengthy waits during daylight hours. Why wouldn’t a night project work there?! What’s a way to resolve this?
