Greetings. I am voting for Patty Murray for Senator because:
1. As The Olympian pointed out, “When it looked as though Boeing would lose the military’s air-tanker contract to Airbus from Europe, it was Murray who sprang to Boeing’s defense and insisted on a level playing field. When she saw how veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were being treated when they returned home, it was Murray who led the charge for improved conditions.” And it says further, “Murray passionately fights for Washington residents in the other Washington.”
2. Dino Rossi voted against insurance companies covering women’s contraceptives. He voted against funding for emergency contraceptives. Rossi even voted to deny women unemployment benefits if they were fleeing domestic violence.
3. Patty Murray has delivered and helped deliver funding for eastern Washington, including the Cashmere water infrastructure.
4. And from August, 2010 news releases, “Senator Murray has introduced and supported several bills that aim to bring high-speed Internet access to rural areas including the Community Telecommunications Planning Act, the Broadband Internet Access Act and the Rural Broadband Enhancement Act. She has also worked to include funding for access programs in the Farm Bill and Recovery Act. Senator Murray has also chaired conferences around the state, aimed at helping small and rural communities take advantage of new telecommunications technologies.”
Therefore, I ask you to vote for Patty Murray for Senator.
