The University of Washington, Bothell and CMC ICOS Biologics, a company dedicated to contract development and manufacturing for the biotechnology sector, have announced a public/private agreement.
The agreement calls for students in UW-Bothell’s master of business administration program to engage in three consulting projects for CMC ICOS. In return, CMC ICOS will give students the opportunity to develop real-time solutions to real-world challenges.
“Our institution believes strongly in its community partnerships and is glad to work with CMC ICOS on this exciting venture that is sure to benefit our students,” said Kenyon Chan, chancellor of UW-Bothell.
The projects students will be working on involve researching market opportunities, developing business plans and improving business processes.
“We are excited about our new partnership with UW-Bothell. The students we are working with are bright, experienced and engaged. We look forward to their help in tackling some critical business challenges and opportunities,” said Gustavo Mahler, president of CMC ICOS Biologics.
The projects will be completed as part of the students’ capstone course.
