Residents, businesses and visitors to the north end of Lake Washington are enjoying improved service thanks to the activation of a new Verizon Wireless cell site. The site expands America’s largest and most reliable voice and 3G wireless data network to residential areas including Kenmore, Alderwood Manor and Brier. The upgrade enables higher quality voice calls, access to the Web, e-mail, text and picture messaging, plus music and video.

This network enhancement is part of Verizon Wireless’ consistent, aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company’s voice and data services. Verizon Wireless spent $71 million to enhance services and coverage in Washington during 2009 and $907 million in the state during the last 10 years.
