Foggy Noggin celebrates third anniversary in Bothell

The Foggy Noggin Brewery will celebrate its third anniversary at 1 p.m. on March 16.

The Foggy Noggin Brewery will celebrate its third anniversary at 1 p.m. on March 16. The celebration will include a tasting room opening with the company presenting a special Anniversary Ale 2013 – English Old Ale – for the event with a limited bottling.

“Since this beer is limited and only available in bottles, you will want to get here early to make sure you get some,” said Manager and brewmaster Jim Jamison. “This is a beer we plan to brew annually and one that will be great to age in your beer cellar.”

The brewery officially opened on March 20, 2010 and Jamison warns that the Anniversary Ales have traditionally sold out very quickly.

“If you plan to line-up before we open, please park in the street and line-up in front of the garage doors,” said Jamison. “Since this beer is very limited and we want to make sure we are able to let as many FogNoggers as possible participate.”

The brewery will limit one case, or 12 bottles, per customer. Bottles are $5 each.

Foggy Noggin staff will also be pouring a vertical tasting of 2011, 2012 and 2013 Anniversary Ale in 4-ounce tasters for $5.

“This is a great way to compare past year’s aging of this incredible beer,” said Jamison. “We have recently opened a few bottles of the 2011 and 2012 Anniversary Ale and are very happy with the aging qualities time has graced on this beer.”

The Foggy Noggin Brewery is located at 22329 53rd Ave. S.E. in Bothell.
