Mini donut maker Daddy’s Donuts is coming to Kenmore.
The new store will be located between 73rd Avenue Northeast and 68th Avenue Northeast, between the Bank of America and the Subway.
“So far, [Kenmore has] been great,” said Eduardo Suzawa, co-founder of Daddy’s Donuts with his wife Kaleena. “The entire city and citizens have been extremely supported, other businesses have been supportive… So far, we have been very impressed in the acceptance and everything, it’s great.”
While the mainstay is miniature donuts, such as the 12th man (No. 7 on the menu) with plain donuts drizzled in vanilla pudding, topped with whip cream, blue and green sprinkles, skittles and a football ring, they will also offer coffees, teas and other beverages.
“To be honest, I like the Straw-Bella… That’s my favorite,” Suzawa said. “I like the raspberry syrup, we make the sauce from scratch.”
While there hasn’t been a set date to open, Suzawa said that they should have a more concrete idea of when they will open after their first inspection from the Department of Health, hopefully to occur in the next few days.
“We actually just finished all the modifications and remodeling, so we’re just waiting on permits from the department of health,” Suzawa said.
