Cedar Park Christian’s Lady Eagles battled for a 39-28 win against University Prep last Wednesday. Freshman Mattie Shelford took the lead with 11 points and sophomore Mikaela Raschick followed closely with 10 points.
With fresh new players and a year under her belt, Cedar Park Christian girls basketball coach Sara Land is ready to start this season.
After Adam Lynch graduated from college, a friend asked him to be the assistant for his basketball team. Willingly, he accepted and started his journey in coaching basketball.
It was a mixed bag for Cedar Park Christian girls soccer last week.
The Eagles first enjoyed a 4-1 victory over Forest Ridge. Swing player and freshman Kathryn Kerr scored in the 24th minute (assist by Nicolette Clark) and 25th minute (unassisted). Sophomore Ryan Miller tallied in the 47th minute (assist from freshman Brie Boroughs). That same minute, Forest Ridge managed to score against Cedar Park. To end the game, Clark scored unassisted in the 75th minute.
The Cedar Park Christian volleyball gals spiked onto the court with confidence last Tuesday.
The Eagles dominated Forest Ridge from the very beginning and set themselves up with a 3-0 victory. Junior Candice Whipple delivered 10 kills and four aces while freshman Mattie Shelford executed nine kills.
With crisp passes, communication and a spirit to win, Cedar Park Christian’s girls soccer players jogged into Robinswood Park to take on Forest Ridge Sept. 29.
