The Bothell High School boys basketball team will travel to Puyallup to take on Bethell Friday during the first round of the district tournament on Saturday. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Rogers High School located at 12801 86th Ave. East.
The Cougars are coming off a 93-69 loss to Garfield during the 4A KingCo tournament title game. Bothell is the No. 2 seed from KingCo.
Bethell is 17-9 on the season and 9-7 in league play. The Braves have multiple scoring threats and are led by James Moore who averages 14 points per game (ppg), Bryce Bowers (13 ppg), Dom Lewis (12 ppg) and Joseph Johnson (9 ppg). Each player has scored 20 or more points in a game this season.
Bother is led by Zach LaVine, who is averaging nearly 30 points per game, Perrion Callendret at 17 ppg and Josh Martin with 12 ppg.
Bothell is currently 20-3 overall with two of those losses coming against the Bulldogs.
