Larson, Vikings shut down Ballard | Prep baseball, tennis roundup

Larson went the distance in the win, striking out two along the way while walking none.

Offensively, Tyler Beahan and Josh Seefeld both had multi-hit games for the Vikings, who improved to 1-1 in league play and 2-1 overall.

 

Bothell baseball struggles against Woodinville

The defending 4A champion Cougars couldn’t find the answer against Woodinville ace Spencer Greer last night on the Falcon’s home turf, falling 7-1 in a league game.

The Falcons put up a four-spot in the first inning, with the Cougars scoring their lone run in the fourth inning off Greer, who struck out six and walked none.

Offensively, Rex Carlin led the Cougars going 2-for-3.

Bothell fell to 0-2 in 4A Kingco play and 1-4 overall with the loss.

 

Cougars’ tennis falls to Redmond

The Bothell girls’ tennis team lost a 4A Kingco match to Redmond on Thursday, winning just one match in singles and doubles action.

Highlights for the Cougars included Erica Takano beating Sophia Xu 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 2 singles match, and No. 3 doubles Lauren Weldy and Amanda Ernster winning over Amanda Lin and Celine Dejong 6-4, 6-3.
