Northshore School District seeks applicants for Curriculum Materials Adoption Committee

The Northshore School District is seeking applications to fill one vacancy on the Curriculum Materials Adoption Committee (CMAC). Applicants must be a parent or community member in the Northshore School District to be considered. This is a voluntary position with a term of three years, appointed by the superintendent.

CMAC is responsible for ensuring that the selection of appropriate instructional materials for Northshore School District students is conducted in a professional manner by a deliberative body of teachers, administrators and parent/community members. Members must be committed to meeting applicable state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the learning goals and standards of the state and district. The committee makes recommendations for approval of core and supplementary materials to the Northshore School District Board of Directors.

Applications may be obtained from the Communications Office in the Northshore Administrative Center, 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, or online. Applications should be submitted to the Communications Office between Nov. 15 and Dec. 3.
