The University of Washington’s Bothell campus is set to honor the institution’s largest graduating class to date at its Commencement ceremonies on June 12.
The event, which will take place in the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, will be in honor of more than 1,200 students graduating, with an expected 750 to participate at the ceremonies.
UW interim president Phyllis Wise will officiate during the Commencement ceremonies. Jim Donald, former Starbucks CEO, will deliver the keynote speech.
The first class of undergraduates from two new majors, electrical engineering and biology, will walk at the 2011 Commencement as will the first degree holders with a Master of Education with a principal’s credential.
The ceremony, which is free but requires a ticket, begins at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m.
