The 48 year-old female who sustained critical injuries following a domestic violence incident involving a box cutter has died at Harborview Medical Center.

The male, also 48, remains at HMC in intensive care.

The two were married, but reported to be estranged at the time of the incident, which was reported at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in the 2100 block of Maltby Road. Both had sustained critical injuries believed to be caused by cuts from a box cutter.

The incident remains under investigation with Major Crimes Unit detectives.
