I finally found a candidate that I can enthusiastically support — Heidi Munson is a Republican candidate running for state representative in the 1st Congressional District. She embodies the American spirit — overcoming poverty to successfully operate a small business and upholding integrity in all areas of her life. She is not a politician. My vote for Munson sends a representative to Olympia that will listen to voter voices.

Certainly, I don’t claim to understand all the issues, but I do recognize that more taxes are not the answer. As a business owner, Munson has experienced the frustrations of tax hikes. Instead of promoting a climate where business owners can thrive, the Washington Legislature has increased taxes on sales, businesses and property. How much more can we take? The status quo is not working.

In order for our state to climb out of this deficit hole, we need representatives who understand how to promote a healthy business climate. The way out of the recession is more jobs, not more taxes. And, it means electing representatives who will listen to voters because they, themselves, understand our frustrations. Please join me in voting for Munson.
