The following is a release from Sen. David Frockt’s office:

Sen. David Frockt, who represents Kenmore from the 46th District announced on May 19 endorsements for his re-election campaign from state leaders as well as key leaders and elected officials in Kenmore, as well as some from Seattle and Lake Forest Park, who have worked with Frockt during his first legislative term.

“I am very gratified for the confidence of these state and local leaders,” said Frockt. “Whether it is working to secure funds for Seattle Public Schools to relieve classroom overcrowding, garnering support in the legislature for Kenmore’s Town Green and its transportation infrastructure needs, or working to support Lake Forest Park’s culvert improvement project, I will continue to be open, accessible and responsive to all parts of our district and to represent their interests in Olympia.”

These endorsements include U.S. Representative Suzan DelBene from the 1st Congressional District, whose district includes the city of Kenmore in the 46th Legislative District. State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who formerly represented these communities when he was on the King County Council, has also endorsed Frockt’s re-election campaign.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, Kenmore Mayor David Baker, Kenmore City Councilmembers Nigel Herbig and Brent Smith and Lake Forest Park Councilmembers Catherine Stanford  and John Resha have also offered their endorsements for Frockt’s re-election.

Additionally, King County Councilmember Rod Dembowski, who currently represents North Seattle, Lake Forest Park and Kenmore on the County Council has endorsed Frockt’s campaign, joined by Councilmembers Larry Phillips, Dave Upthegrove and Joe McDermott.

“Senator Frockt is one of the most respected leaders in the Washington State Senate on both sides of the aisle. He is a powerful advocate for our schools and an extremely effective partner with our local communities,” Dembowski said. “I admire and respect David immensely. We are lucky to have him on the job, working for us in Olympia.”

Frockt is seeking his second term in the Washington State Senate. The 46th District includes Northeast Seattle as well as the communities of Lake Forest Park and Kenmore. His campaign expects to announce additional endorsements from other local leaders and key groups in the coming days.
