Thank you Evergreen Church for helping with Fourth of July parade | Letter

On the Fourth of July the city of Bothell conducted the annual parade in downtown Bothell.

On the Fourth of July the city of Bothell conducted the annual parade in downtown Bothell. If you attended the event, you might have noticed all the volunteers wearing green shirts who were helping in a variety of capacities. The volunteers were from the Evergreen Church. The city of Bothell would just like to take this opportunity to say “thank you.”

Planning and executing any special event takes a great deal of preparation and execution to be successful. The Evergreen Church assists with the parade each year and they always come organized, enthusiastic and ready to go to work. This year there were well over 50 volunteers who did an absolutely fantastic job. I think it’s safe to say we probably could not conduct the event without their help.

The city of Bothell relies on community volunteers for many of our programs and events. The assistance from the Evergreen Church with the Fourth of July parade is an example of the community stepping up and providing support. Thank you again to all the Evergreen Church volunteers for your time, effort and commitment on what turned out to be a very warm July 4.

John Keates, city of Bothell Parks and Recreation Director
