The Inglemoor High School boys basketball team has become good at making comebacks this season. The team lost its first five games of the regular season but still managed to take second in the Crest division.

The Vikings fell far behind Ballard Tuesday during the first round of the KingCo tournament but were unable to complete the big comeback, losing 55-52 at home.

A slow second quarter saw Inglemoor score just five points and fall behind 27-14 by halftime. But the Vikings did not give up and came out fighting after the half, outscoring the Beavers 22-8 during the third quarter to claim the lead heading into the final frame of play.

The Viking defense had a tough time slowing down the Ballard offense during the final eight minutes of play, giving up 20 points during the fourth quarter.

Inglemoor was led by Chris Bryant with 19 points and Brendan Lauk with 10 points.

The loss puts the Vikings into the loser-out consolation bracket of the tournament with a game at 3 p.m. Friday at Juanita High School against Woodinville. The Vikings crushed the Falcons twice during the regular season, 79-46 on Jan. 4 and 65-37 on Feb. 1.
