On May 17, at 3 p.m., the Bastyr Chapel will host the Kirkland Choral Society’s Songs of Ourselves – Folk Music from Around the World concert.
The event celebrates humanity, kinship and diversity by exploring musics from around the globe, exploring themes of love, nature and spirit that is found across cultures and more.
Kirkland Choral Society Director, Dr. Glenn Gregg, will lead the choir in presenting sounds from India, the Far East, Africa, Celtic Ireland, the Americas, Australia and other Pacific nations, along with a final folk song from Scotland.
The event costs $20 per adult, or $15 for students and seniors.
