Nestled in between Kenmore and Bothell, and located inside the Kenmore Gun Range, the WCW/Ed Eliason Junior Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD) is quietly nurturing and producing Junior Olympic and nationally ranked champions.

Volunteer coaches Mike Wischer and Larry Anderson lead the program. While their dedicated efforts have resulted in students who have competitive rankings, their primary emphasis has been to provide their students with a positive and lifelong appreciation for the sport of archery.

In the most recent major competition in Utah, their students placed among the top-three spots for most divisions. National scores are currently being compiled from all regions. Additionally, Lauren Hughes placed first in the 2007 Junior Olympics, and Ben Roop placed nationally and represented the U.S. in the Junior World Championship held in Turkey last fall. JOAD graduates Erin Mickleberry and Jeff Anderson are also Olympic hopefuls.
