Cedar Park Christian is on a roll.
The Eagles first dominated Bush during the first two quarters and continued rolling with a recent 57-42 boys basketball win.
Junior Victor Sviridyuk led the Eagles with 22 points, while teammates Tommy McCullough and Adam Stephenson followed with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Next, they battled Auburn Adventist and pulled through with another easy win, 45-31. The top-three point leaders again showed their skill as they made basket after basket. Sviridyuk and McCullough both added 15 points, while Stephenson contributed 12.
And in a close game against Northwest last Friday, Cedar Park reigned on top once again, 42-37. Senior Stephenson led with eight points, while freshman Russell Bettinger added seven more. The Eagles’ third straight win put them at 5-2 conference and 9-6 overall at press time.
Girls basketball
While at Forest Ridge recently, the Cedar Park girls basketball team blew in like a storm and crushed its opponent by a 59-19 score. Sophomore Rachel Staudacher and junior Erin Halverson led with 15 and 12 points, respectively.
The girls team also battled Northwest last Friday and took home its second win of the week, 53-30.
On fire, Staudacher made 26 points, while junior Mikaela Raschick followed closely with 15 points.
The Eagles had a 6-2 conference record and an 8-3 overall record at press time.
