The Viking football players got a bad case of deja vu Friday night. They started the 2014 season the same way they began last season – with a blowout loss to Juanita.
The Vikings managed to keep Juanita under 50 points this time but were unable to find much offense during the 44-6 loss at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.
Inglemor kept it close during the first half, scoring all six points during the first quarter and only trailing by eight at halftime. But Juanita would score 30 unanswered second-half points.
The Vikings will regroup for their second game of the season against Eastlake at 7 p.m. Sept. 11.
